35 Students of VI semester Mechanical Engineering branch got the opportunity to get trained by BOSCH Limited. The Training program awned theory and practicals related to fuel injection system and Engine Management etc. This hands - on training program not only enhanced their knowledge about the working of engines but also honed their technical skills in the working environment ofBosch Ltd. under the one week training program during 1st - 5thApril, 2014.
Bosch Limited is India’s largest automotive component manufacturer and also one of the Indo – German companies in India. Bosch Limited manufactures and trades in all the three major business sectors of Bosch:
Automotive Technology (Diesel and Gasoline Fuel Injection Systems, Car Multimedia Systems, Auto Electricals and Accessories, etc.)
Industrial Technology (Packaging Machines, Solar Energy, etc)
Consumer Goods and Building Technology (Power Tools, Security Systems)
Summary of the Training program is as follows :
Day 1:- Introduction of Diesel Engine with Fuel Injection Systems & Overview of the FIP, Different Diesel Systems - PF & PE.
Day 2:- Rotary Pumps, Gasoline Engine, Introduction of carburetor v/s Injection system.
Day 3:- Gasoline Management System , (Sensor, Actuator), Introduction to KTS + ESI (tronics), 30 mins Open session.
Day 4:- Full Day Diesel Practical
Day 5:- Full Day Vehicle Practical
Students were very much involved and took keen interest during the training program.
Key Learnings from Training Program:-
A part from the conventional classroom teaching, the training program spotlighted on imparting practical knowledge, which was indeed a great help to the students. Students were kept abeam of significant development happenings in the automobile sector via this training program. Along with these topics they were made aware of the advancements in the modern engines which are done with the holy grail of attaining maximum power and increasing the life of engines.
